Using the service
You may use the website for lawful personal or business purposes. You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in secure and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been misused. Accounts are for people aged 16 or over.
Local information
We aim to check information and link to sources, but events, opening times, roadworks, offers and other local details can change at short notice. Always confirm important details with the organiser, business or official authority before travelling, booking or spending money. Nothing on the website is professional advice.
Your submissions
You retain ownership of content you submit. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, review, edit for clarity, publish and promote it in connection with What’s Happening Leyland. You confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
Community rules
Do not submit anything unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, defamatory, deliberately misleading, invasive of privacy, infringing another person’s rights or intended primarily as spam. Do not publish private accusations or personal data without a proper lawful reason. Clearly identify rumours or unconfirmed information and provide a source where possible.
Moderation
We may check, edit, decline, remove, expire or correct content at our discretion. Approval is not an endorsement. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service. If you believe something is wrong or infringes your rights, contact us with the page and an explanation so we can review it promptly.
Business listings and offers
Businesses are responsible for their profiles, prices, claims, availability, offer terms and legal compliance. Any agreement is between the customer and the business. Paid or sponsored placements will be identified clearly. Additional commercial terms may apply before any paid service begins.
External links
Links to councils, organisers, social media and businesses are provided for convenience. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, content or privacy practices.
Availability and liability
We may change, suspend or withdraw features and cannot promise uninterrupted access. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect loss or loss caused by reliance on information that you could reasonably verify with the original source.
Ending an account
You may ask us to close your account. We may restrict or close an account that breaches these terms, creates risk or misuses the website. Necessary records may be retained as explained in our privacy policy.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. We may update them as the service changes; the current version and date will appear here.
